I'm proud to announce that I have the honor of speaking next week at the first ever O'Reilly Design Conference. The conference will be held in San Francisco on January 20-22. My talk will be on the Humanist Interface project, and the relationship between aesthetics and usability in design.
O'Reilly describes the conference as follows:
The O’Reilly Design Conference is where interaction designers, UX designers, user researchers, product designers, product managers, and entrepreneurs will explore new ways design will shape the future.
It is quite welcome to see design to take precedence in this way in the tech industry. I look forward to conversations with both speakers and attendees at the conference. If you'll be attending or in the area, say hello!

This week, I came across a remix of Apple's "Designed by Apple in California" commercial and shared it on Twitter. It was quite a hit, with over 18k views so far. I'm very curious who the creator was, though they appear to be anonymous.
